The Urban League of Racine and Kenosha invites you to the first annual “Health is Wealth” wellness Fair in Racine, Wisconsin at the Dr. John Bryant Center (601 21st Street, Racine) on Saturday, August 28 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. There will be raffle prizes and giveaways throughout the day, kids’ activities, free food, live music and a DJ, as well as healthy movement activities fun for all ages. The fair will also feature a variety of health and wellness booths to learn new approaches to conquer health concerns, enhance physical fitness, financial wellness and nutrition. A few activities featured at the fair will include:
- Nutrition and Healthy Cooking Demonstrations
- Adult and Children Health Screenings
- Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Checks
- Mobile Dental and Vision Trucks
- Financial Literacy Resources
- Voter Registration
- COVID-19 Vaccines
- A kids’ corner
- And more
For many of us, the last year and a half took a toll on all aspects of our health. This wellness fair is an opportunity to recover some of what we lost by sharing information with youth, families and the community about healthy eating, physical activity, health services, and other local health and wellness resources that can be utilized to achieve the best versions of ourselves.
