2009 PAST EVENTS

October 1, 2009: Tax Smart Savings Program returns to the Kenosha office at 1418-68th Street. The program will assist low-income Kenosha residents in filing Wisconsin income tax returns and provide education on tax credits available that include the Homestead Credit, Earned Income Credit and Education Credit.

 Urban League of Racine and Kenosha's "Annual Board of Director's Meeting" to be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October, 28, 2009 at Marina Shores, 302-58th Street, Kenosha, WI 53140. Refreshments will be served.


September 16-November 4, 2009: LULAC/GMAC SmartEdge Financial Workshops to be held from 6P-7:30P every Wednesday through November 4, 2009 at the Achievement Center located in the Racine building, 718 N. Memorial Drive in Racine.


U.S. Citizenship classes to be held from 4P-5:30P on September 3 & 17 and October 1 and 15 at the Achievement Center located in the Racine building, 718 N. Memorial Drive in Racine.
 

Saturday, September 12, 2009: Participated in the Back to School Celebration at Celebration Park in Kenosha. Over 250 Read and Rise youth magazines were given away by the Urban League.

Saturday, August 29, 2009: Hoops and Dreams city-wide youth Basketball Tournament held at Lincoln Park in Kenosha.
